I disagree. There just needs to be a difficulty selection for each race. Underground had this, but it seemed to set a rubberbanding time gap (e.g. 2 seconds ahead) rather than an actual skill level. They could have the hardest difficulty AI pushing their car to the limit all the time, and on easy they drive at about 60% with a worse line.
For Need for Speed Undercover on the PlayStation 3, a GameFAQs message board topic titled "NFS Undercover or NFS Carbon".
If you have good friends, Heat is the way to go. You have races, cops, nighttime, a cool story and the crew system, which allows you to unlock bonuses together. You could make a crew exclusive to your friends, use custom wraps and race together. 1. genericnfsfan21.
Late game Underground 1 on hard. The Need For Speed Underground games had really terrible rubber banding. Most Wanted 2005. Your opponent can crash and 2 seconds later he's right on you. Worst Rubberband in an NFS Game, Underground 1. It even trolled you when the rubberband kicked in at easy difficulty.

You may find this interesting, I googled cingular wireless and need for speed and found this cool slide. Looks like they researched how players reacted to cingular wireless before playing nfs vs after.

NFS Underground doesn't seem to even see the G29 while NFSU 2 has the menu scroll issue. The menu scroll issue happened in NFS Carbon and Pro Street too but I was able to fix it by setting the pedals to combined. I have the pedals set to combined for NFSU 2 as well but it still doesn't seem to work properly.

I prefer Carbon over Underground 2 because the latter has a dogshit sense of speed and a trash ass drive to everywhere progression, making it the best bang for your buck for a sleeping simulator. Remember kids, we play NFS to race, not to just drive. refw.
